These terms govern your use of the Gymbrutal iPhone app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Gymbrutal on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in addition to these terms. Where the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent permitted.
You may not resell the app, rent it out, reverse-engineer it, or use it to build a competing service.
This is the most important clause in this document.
Gymbrutal is a logbook. Strength ranks, estimated one-rep maxes, recovery indicators, warm-up suggestions, progression suggestions and nutrition figures are informational only. They are not medical advice, dietary advice, or a prescribed training programme, and they are produced by formulas applied to the numbers you type in — not by a professional who has examined you.
Lifting weights carries a risk of injury. You train at your own risk. Consult a doctor before starting or changing a training or eating programme, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from an injury. If something hurts, stop.
An account is optional. If you create one:
We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms, to harass others, or to attack the service.
Your workouts, records, food entries and record cards are yours. We claim no ownership.
You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: storing your content, and transmitting it between your own devices when you have enabled synchronisation.
If you choose a public handle, you allow the people you accept as friends to see that handle and your weekly workout count. Nothing else.
Do not use a handle that impersonates someone, is offensive, or infringes someone else's rights. We may remove one that does.
Gymbrutal is free to use. Premium unlocks unlimited history, unlimited routines, advanced statistics, the plate calculator and shareable record cards.
If you stop being a Premium member, nothing is deleted. History beyond the free window and advanced statistics simply become invisible again, and reappear if you resubscribe.
We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and you will be told before a renewal at the new price.
We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features.
The app is designed to work offline: if our servers are unavailable, you can still log your training. That is a deliberate design decision, not a promise of uptime.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Without an account, your data exists only on your device: if you lose the device or delete the app, it is gone, and we cannot recover it because we never had it.
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from inside it.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. If we do, and you have paid for a period you cannot use, contact Apple for a refund.
To the extent permitted by law, Gymbrutal is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for injury arising from your training decisions.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights the law of your country gives you.
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of France. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
